What is Stretch Mark/Scar Camouflage?
Permanent make up procedure using a special digital pigmentation device depositing flesh tone pigments/color into the upper third layer of the dermis to camouflage stretch marks and scars. Once the area is treated, it will blend in with your natural skin tone. The treated area will be less noticeable in appearance while promoting collagen production.
Price of Services?
Prices can range from $150 for smaller areas and up to $850 for bigger areas. Keep in mind that several treatments may be necessary to achieve desired results.
What to expect during the healing process?
Immediately following the procedure, you will notice that the stretch marks are slightly raised and red. This is normal. You may notice intensity in the color which will eventually fade. Pigment stabilization could take a maximum of 8 weeks.
How long will a treatment take? Will I be able to return to work?
Treatment lengths are based off of prep time plus service time. The service time depends on how large or small the area is. On average, it could take anywhere between 40-50 mins to treat a small/med size area and up to an hour or 1 1/2 hr for larger areas. For the best possible outcome, treatments should not be rushed. Clients are allowed to return to work the same day of treatment or the next day if desired. This non-invasive treatment allows for flexibility.
Will this treatment hurt?
It is normal to experience a small amount of discomfort. The average number used to determine the level of pain on a scale of 1-10 rotates between 3-4. To ensure the integrity and purity of the pigments during and after treatment, we do not us any form of numbing. We aim for the best and most natural looking outcome.
Am I allowed to tan after treatment?
The camouflaged area will not tan with your skin. During the initial treatment, pigments were selected for your skin tone. Once you tan, your skins overtone will change but the treated area will remain the same color is was selected to be, matching your "untanned" skin tone.
I am pregnant and/or breastfeeding, can I have treatment?
Being that the skin is penetrated during the treatment, we are unable to provide this treatment to women who are pregnant and/or breastfeeding. Also, remember, stretch marks must be at least 1-2 yrs old, fully healed to have treatment done.
After Care?
Yes. Apply after care cream in a thin layer with clean fingers or gauze 1-3 times a day for 7 days. Before removing the after treatment wrap, be sure to wash your hands and avoid touching the treated area. The area can be cleaned with a PH neutral soap. Avoid creams, oils and lotions with fragrances. Also avoid the use of harsh soaps. Avoid hot tubs and swimming pools, direct sun exposure, and excessive sweating on or around treated area. Be sure to care for the treated area over the next 20 days for best possible outcome.
